The Bemidji Area Shooters Association was founded in 1973 to organize and promote safe rifle and pistol shooting events in the Bemidji area. Since 2009, the club has partnered with the Headwaters Shooting Sports Association, in conjunction with the Beltrami County Parks and Recreation Department, to plan, build, and operate the rifle and pistol range portion of the Northland Region Sports Park.
